2015–A Year of Victory!
Here we are in the New Year and times keep rolling on. I meant to get this out much earlier, but I’ve been busy working on my new web site here, moving and ministry travel. Time just keeps rolling on!
As we move through life the years seem to shorten and New Year’s Day approaches with an ever-increasing tempo. The more mature we get, the more we realize that time is only relative; How we live — means much more than how long we live.
In His wisdom, God rarely shows us all that’s ahead, so we enter a New Year to live it day by day and what is past is past. We start anew again and what we believe and live today will form and make us who we are tomorrow.
As I thought about the start of this New Year I realized, we don't ever want to start anything with a defeated heart or having a charge against us, so I pray you're encouraged by this New Year message:
So let it clearly be known and understood, that through this Man the forgiveness and removal of all sin is now proclaimed to you; And that through Him everyone who believes [acknowledges openly Jesus as his Savior and devoted to Him] is absolved (vindicated, cleared and made free) from every sin (charge and defeat) that holds one guilty before God… Acts13:38-39
I’m so thankful that when one believes in Jesus there can be absolute confidence before God and man. There is a sense of freedom and boldness that matters not what anyone thinks about us or the past. It only matters what God thinks about it and He’s not thinking about the past.
When anyone truly believes correctly and honoring Jesus, they realize their sins are forever forgiven and there is a presence of freedom that boldly professes, I’m clean of all past sin and failure and that the Blessing of God is on my life. There is a shout that comes from the heart saying: I don’t care how things seem to look - I know The Lord God is with me!
What holds so many back in life is the continual reminding God and self of past failures, by always talking about it. Being judgmental toward other Christians and their mistakes will also hold one in the place of guilt and defeat, so just don’t do that. The scripture reads:
Who are you to judge another? To his own Master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand… Rom. 14:4
Wherever you’re at in this New Year I want to encourage you: Call upon the Lord Jesus and believe you’re completely forgiven of all the past, realizing you’re a special creation in Christ. Believe He will intervene in your life for good, but understand that you will never receive more than you can believe for, so think according to His plan, think Godly, think holy, think lovely, think positive, and yes, think big.
Only accept victorious thoughts and let your heart be filled with positive words and positive actions that glorify the Lord. Never ever talk course or hateful toward anyone. That is something I had to learn and when failing in this area, repent quickly and press on, not allowing the devil to bring condemnation.
Demand only victorious words and actions from yourself that will strengthen your faith and the faith of those who hear you. Do your best to stay away from negative and bitter people, but when you must be around them strive to keep peace and show the Love of God.
Though there will be trials and set backs, let’s press on with the victorious Spirit Christ Jesus has given us. The year 2015 is not one of disappointment, but a year of joy and victory for all who believe. Jesus will vindicate His people and He will make us stand!
My prayer for you this New Year comes from the Hebrew translation of: The Prayer of Moses – Numbers 6:24
“The Lord will Bless you and keep you; The Lord will make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you, The Lord will lift up His countenance on you, And give you Peace.”
A big “thank you” to those who support this ministry.
I pray that many of you will sense a leading to become a financial partner this year with, (“Take me to Lunch”) as I go to proclaim:
People are Vindicated and made Free by the precious Blood of Jesus.
Blessings to you this Year of Our Lord 2015!
